Three Persons Were Arrested With 1.76 Kilo Grammes Of "ICE " Narcotic

 Three persons had been arrested with  1.76 Kilo Grammes of "ICE " narcotic in possession during a joint raid carried out by the Navy and Police personal at Erukkalampiddi area in Mannar (Northern Sri Lanka).

Two of the suspects were arrested whilst transporting the stock of Ice by a Motorcycle  yesterday (04) and one was arrested with a three wheeler today(05) it has been revealed . The suspects who are residents of Mannar district had been handed over to Mannar Police for further investigations .

1287 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (05)

 A total of 1287 Corona positives had been reported today (05) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far  to 617,189 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 20,847 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

Another 28 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (05)

 Another 28 Corona deaths had been reported today (05) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths that had been reported so far to 15,572 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).

Accordingly 20 males and 08 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has announced .Out of the deceased 21 were over 60 years of age and 05 were belonged to the 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .Tow of the deceased were under 30 years old .

A 15 Year Old School Girl Had Died Due To A Knife Attack

 A 15 year old School girl in Kanthale area(Trincomalee District ) Ka has died due to a knife attack it has been reported .The critically injured school girl had succumbed to her injuries whilst receiving medical treatment at the hospital .

A 17 year old boy identified as the boy friend of the deceased  had been arrested by the Kanthale Police over the incident .The deceased girl had been  attacked whilst at her house at Peramaduwa in Agbopura.Kanthale area .The suspect had hidden inside the house and attacked the girl it  has bee revealed. The  reason behind the attack has not yet been revealed .

The suspect   who was   arrested after the incident  was remanded    until 09 th  of February by the Kanthale Magistrate after being produced before the court .
