Four Persons Died Due To Three Whealer-Train Collision

 Four members of  the same family had died after the Three whealer they were travelling in collided  with an Express train Travelling from Beliatta to Anuradhapura at Bussa-Wellaboda  railway crossing in Galle yesterday (01)).

The deceased were on the way to sign a land deed at the time of the incident it has been recealed .The person driving the Three whealer had attempted to cross the railway crossing without paying attention to the railway signals and met with the accident ad a result according  to eye witnesses.The deceased were residents of Paranawatte in Bussa area .

 

1156 Corona Positives Reported Today (02)

 A total number  of 1156 Corona Positives including 05 foreign arrivals had been reported in the country today (02) increasing  the  total number of Corona positives  reported so far to 613,548  according to Epidemiolgy unit .

Accordingly at thv18,666 Corona positives  are being treated at hospitals ,Qurantine center anf under home care system

19 Corona Deaths Reported Today( 02)

 Another 19 Corona deaths  had been reported in the country today (02),Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 15,492 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS)

.

Accotdingly 14  Males and 05 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of  the deceased  17 were over 60 years of age and 02 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been reported

One Hour Power Cut Was Implemented Yesterday (01)

 Although Public Utilities Commission had decided not to impose Any Island wide power cuts until further notice ,The Ceylon Elrctricity Board had implemented a sudden one hour power cuts from 6.30 to 9.30 p.m. (01). Yesterday .

This  power cut was implemented to manage the rising  demand of electricity in the country the Electricity Board has announced.

Meanwhile several areas in the island had experienced  sudden  power disruptions without prior notice  since 2 p.m yesterday (01)
