Petroleum Corporation To Supply 1500 Metric Tones Of Diesel Daily To Electricity Board From Today (14)

 Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) had taken steps to supply 1500 metric tones of Diesel daily  to Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) from today (14) until nest Tuesday (18) to start the functioning of inactive power plants belongs to  CEB .

On next Tuesday a discussion will be held between officials of CPC and CEB to decide the next step need to be taken to  activate  the power plants continuously   it has been reported .

Meanwhile Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has stated that it couldn't supply diesel to Electricity Board under a  loan scheme anymore . 

Another 677 Corona Positives Had Been Reported In The Country Today (14)

 A Total of 677 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (14) Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported  so far to 594,996 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 11,935 Corona positives are being treated at Quarantine Centers /Hospitals and under home care system the unit has stated .

Another 171 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals today increasing the total number of Corona Positives recovered and discharged so far to 567,871 it has been reported .

16 Corona Deaths Reported Today (14)

 Another 16 Corona deaths had been repprted in the country today (14) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so farto 15,190 according to Director General Of  Health Services (DGHS).

Accordingly 08 males and 08 females had died  due to corona infection the DGHS has stated .

Out  of the deceased 10 were over 60 years of age and 05;were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed.One of the deceased was under 30 years old.

 Employees attached to Government and private sectors had faced enormous difficulties this evening (13)due to t he cancellation of 200 train journeys as a result of the strike launched by Railway Station masters .

Eight Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Bus -Tipper Collision

 Eight Passengers had been injured and hospitalized due to a Collison of Two buses and a Tipper truck in front of the Special Task Force camp in Kabithigollawa ,Horovpathana -A-22 road ,Vavuniya this evening (13) according to kabithigollawa traffic Police .

The injured had been admitted to Vavuniya Base Hospital for treatment  .The incident occurred when two buses transporting employees attached to a garment factory in Vauniya and a tipper truck travelling from vaviniya had collided each other it has been reported. Sevan female employees attached to the garment factory and a Bus driver had been injured and hospitalized due to this incident ,

According to the Police this incident happened when one Bus attempted to save a dog who ran middle of the road ,
