714 Corona Positives Reported Today (12) As The Number Of PCR Tests Performs Had Been Dropped

Another 714 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (12) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 572,902 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 13,237 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers /Under Home Care System the Unit has stated ,

Only 7187 PCR Tests and 4646 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (11) a sharp drop then the tests performed on Friday according to reports .

60 Buddhist Monks At A University In Colombo Had Tested Positive For Corona

Around 60 Buddhist Monks studying at a University in Colombo District had tested positive for Corona virus according to sources ,All the infected Monks are being quarantined at the hostel where they are staying in the Sources have added .

All these Monks had stayed at a Hostel where only 20 monks can be resided in it has been revealed . Steps had been taken to prevent the spreading of Corona virus within the University premises according to Health Authorities .

World's largest Blue sapphire gem stone weighing 310 Kilo Grammes had been recovered in a Gem mine at Balangoda area according to Reports .

It's world's largest single natural corundum and named as "Queen Of Asia ".The 15 million Carrot Gem stone is owned by Chamila Suranga who is a director of a Gem Research Institute at Ratahnapura and resides in Horana area. He hopes to sell the stone to a country which can store it at a Museum .
