Number Of PCR And Rapid Antigen Tests Performed During Last Two Days Had Been Dropped

 The number of daily "PCR " and Rapid Antigen Tests performed in the country during last two days had been reduced according to the Health Circles ,Accordingly less then 10,000 "PCR " and Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country Although World Health Organization had urged the South East Asian Countries to implement quick actions to prevent the spreading of new Corona Variant "Omicron " in the region .

Only 5731 and 6615 "PCR " tests had been performed in the country yesterday (29) and today (30) respectively and only 2868 (29th )and 3100 (30)Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed during last two days it has been revealed . 

Sudden Power Failure In Colombo And Gampaha

 Many areas in Colombo and Gampaha districts are being experienced a sudden power failure since 7.50 p.m today (29) due to the  breakdown occurred at  power transmission line from.Kotmale to biyagama areas .

 Another 747 Corona positives had been reported today (29) ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 563,267 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 8899 Corona positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated ,

23 Corona Deaths Were Reported Today (29)

 Another 23 Corona deaths had been reported today (29) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 14,328 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 16 males and 07 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated ,Out of the deceased 19 were over 60 years of age and 04 were belonged to the age group 30-60 years it has been revealed .
