Train Services Are Restricted To Veyangoda Railway Station

Due to the sinking of a part of the railway track between Meerigma and Pallewela Train stations ,all  train  journeys   are  temporarily restricted  to Veyangoda Railway station according to Sri Lsnka Railways Department .

Authorities are currently engaging in the maintenance work  of the sunken Railway track  the Department has stated ,

23 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (14)

 A total of 23 Corona deaths had been reported today(14) in the country .Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 13,995 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 13  females and 10  males had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 17 were over 60 years of age and 06 of the deceased were belonged to 30-60 age group it has been revealed .

695 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (14)

 Another 695 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (14) ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 551,542 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 13,618 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under Home care system the Unit has stated ,

A Massive 28 Hour Water Cut Has Been Imposed In Many Areas In Colombo

 A 28 hour massive water cut has been imposed in several areas of Colombo including Colombo -04,05,06 ,07 and 08 and Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Councils as well as in Maharagama and Boralasgamuwa Urban Council areas from 8 p.m today (13) until 12  midnight tomorrow(14) according to the National Water Supplies and Drainage Board .

This water cut is being imposed amidst Corona pandemic to repair a water leak occurred in the main pipe line from Ambathale to Kotte the Water Board has announced ,
