SLMA Urged President To Implement Restrictions /Laws Imposed To Curb Corona Pandemic Strictly To Avoid Another Corona Wave
Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA ) had made a written request from the President Gotabhya Rajapakshe yesterday (26) to implement the restrictions and laws currently imposed in the island to Curb the Corona spread ,Very strictly to avoid another Corona wave .
According to the letter sent to the President Rajapakshe by SLMA ,The Association has urged the President not to lift all the restrictions imposed on Public functions including Weddings ,Funerals ,Religious Observances ,Parties and Meetings as the behavior pattern of the public is disappointed at the moment .
SLMA President Dr.Padma Gunarathne has stated that a Booster vaccine dose for those over 60 years of age ,Under 60 years of age with immunity problems who got two shots of Sinopahram Vaccine can take this booster vaccine dose .

Another 559 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (
A total of 559 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (27) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 538,320 according to the Epidemiology Unit .
Accordingly at the moment 20,270 Corona positives are being treated at Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under Home Care system the Unit has stated .
Meanwhile 373 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from Hospitals and Quarantine Centers in the island today .With this number the total number of Corona positives recovered and discharged so far had risen to 504,376 the Epidemiology Unit has stated ,
20 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (27)
Another 20 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (27) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 13,674 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).
Accordingly 11 males and 09 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS had stated .Out of the deceased 12 were over 60 years of age and 08 were belonged to 30-60 year age group .
