LIOC Increased The Prices Of Petrol And Diesel

 Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) had increased the Petrol and Diesel Prices with effect from Midnight tonight (21) the Company had announced .



Accordingly a Liter of Octane -92 Petrol and a Liter  of Auto Diesel had been increased by Rs.5 the LIOC had stated .According to the new price increase the new price of a liter of Octane -92 Petrol will be Rs.162 and a Liter of Auto Diesel will be Rs.116 .

There will be no change of the prices of Super Diesel and Octane-95 Petrol the LIOC had stated .The prices of Petrol and Diesel had been increased due to the price hike of Crude oil in the world market according to the company ..

After the price increase had been announced heavy queues had seen in front of LIOC fuel stations and Ceypetco Fuel stations this evening .

554 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (21)

 A total of 554 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (21) ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 533.860 according to Epidemiology Unit.


At the moment 17,834 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated ,

Another 8790 Corona Positives had been recovered and discharged today from the hospitals and quarantine centers  increasing the total number of Corona positives recovered and discharged so far to 502,464 the Epidemiology Unit has announced .

All Schools With Less Then 200 Students Are To Be Opened Tomorrow (21)

All Schools  with less than 200 students located throughout the Island are scheduled to be opened tomorrow (21) under Health guidelines according to the Ministry Of Education .Accordingly around 3880 Schools are due to be re opened tomorrow .

Meanwhile Many Teachers and Principals Trade Unions had decided not to attend schools tomorrow ,However to attend schools from next Monday (25).All teachers in the island are currently engaged in boycotting  online teaching   since few  months .

Meanwhile Health Experts have warned that All school children who are attending classes from tomorrow should follow Anti Corona health guidelines strictly to avoid making Corona clusters within schools

Inter Provincial Travel Restrictions Had Been Extended


 The Current Inter Provincial Travel Restrictions imposed in the Island had been extended until 31st of October uder the advise of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe the head of the National Covid-19 Prevention Action  Center Army Commander General Shavendre De silva has stated today (20)

Earlier the Restrictions are scheduled to be lifted at 4 a.m. tomorrow (21) .President had advised to extend the current Inter provincial Travel restrictions as a step to prevent the spreading of Corona virus  further General Shavendre De silva has stated ,

Meanwhile many had travelled outstations from Western province during last few days illegally by violating the Inter provincial restrictions Government authorities had stated.


539 Corona Positives Were Reported Today (20)

 A Total of 539 Corona positives had been reported today (20) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 533,305 according to Epidemiology Unit ,.

At the moment 26,088 Corona positives are being treated at Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under Home care system the Unit Has stated .

A total 4767 PCR Tests and 2722 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in te country yesterday .
