Another 35 Corona Deaths Reported Today (10)

 Another 35 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (10) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 13,331 according to the Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) ,

Accordingly18 males and 17 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has announced , Out of the deceased 30 were over 60 years of age and 04 were belonged to the age group 30-80 years .One of the deceased was under 30 years old ,

Police Have Yesterday (09) Arrested 115 Persons Over Violating Quarantine Laws

 Police have yesterday (09) arrested 115 persons and taken into custody a Car over violating  the quarantine laws   according to the Police Department .

Police have so far arrested 80,475 persons over violating the quarantine laws during the Corona pandemic .Police had also sent back 166 vehicles which had attempted to cross between provinces yesterday it has been reported ,

Inter Provincial Travel Restrictions Had Been Extended Until 21st

Government has decided to extend  the Inter Provincial Travel restrictions imposed since 20th of August until 21st of October during the Covid Control Committee meeting held yesterday (08) ,

Accordingly public transport between provinces will not be functioned  until 21st of October .However Many are traveling between provinces daily violating Inter Provincial restrictions it has been reported ,

Meanwhile Railways department  has decided to operate Trains within Provinces from 15th of this Month the department has announced ,

Government To Give a Booster Dose Each For All Above 20 Years Of Age

Government has decided to give a Booster Vaccine for  all Sri Lankan citizens above  20 years of age  who had taken two Corona vaccine doses  already.

Accordingly all Sri Lankans above 20 years of age who had received two doses  of Corona vaccine will be given a Pfizer vaccine dose as the  Booster dose  state minister of Drug Productions ,Supplies and Regulation Professor Channa Jayasumana has stated ,

Sri Lanka has ordered 10.4 million doses of "Pfizer "vaccine for the booster dose he has stressed ,  

726 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (09)

 Another 726 Corona Positives had been reported today (09) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 525,663 the Epidemiology Unit has stated ,

Accordingly 32,738 Corona positives are being treated at Hospitals /Quarantine Centers and under Home Care system .

According to t he Health Promotions Bureau only 7260 "PCR " tests and 3960 Rapid Antigen tests had been performed in the country yesterday (08).

Meanwhile another 447 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged from Hospitals today increasing the  total number of Corona positives recovered so far to 479,629 the Epidemiology Unit has stated ,
