Indian Foreign Secretary Had Arrived In Sri Lanka

 India's Foreign Secretary  Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla has arrived in Sri Lanka today (02) for a four day official visit .During his visit the Indian Foreign Secretary is due to meet President ,Prime Minister and Finance Minister  and hold  bi lateral talks according to reports ,

Shringla had accompanied three member delegation and scheduled to visit Kandy ,Trincomalee and Jaffna it has been revealed .

Landslide Warnings Issued For Five Districts

 Due to the prevailing adverse weather pattern in the country National Building Research Organization (NBRO) had issued landslide warnings to five districts with effect from 6 p.m last evening(01) until 6 p.m this evening (02)

Accordingly Landslide warnings had been issued to Galle Matara ,Kalutra ,Kandy ,Ratnapura and Kegalle districts .Accordng to the Meteorology Department Many areas in the country will be received showers or thunder showers during today .

Sr Lanka Received Another Stock Of "Pfizer " Vaccine Doses Yesterday (01)

 Sri Lanka had received  another stock of 400,000 "Pfizer Anti Corona vaccine doses last night (01) under the "Covax Scheme of World Health Organization with the courtesy of United States .

The vaccine stock was brought to Sri Lanka via Maldives from Dubai in United Arab Emirates .

Sri Lankan Health Authorities had decided to administer a Booster vaccine for those over the age of 60 years who  had received the full doses of "Sinopharm " and Astra seneca "Covishield " vaccines after studies showing they have not produced enough antibodies to fight against the corona virus .

 

Another 561 Corona Positives Had Been Recovered And Discharged From Hospitals Today (02)

 Another 561 Corona Positives had been recovered and discharged from hospitals ,and Quarantine Centers today (02) according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 458,646 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged in the country so far the Unit has stated , At the moment 47,165  Corona Positives are being treated at Government hospitals ,Private hospitals .Quarantine Centers and at under home care system ,

If The Public And Institutions Adhere New Health Guidelines During This Month ,Corona Spread Can Be Reduced

 If the public and institutions can adhere the Anti Corona Health guidelines issued by the Health Ministry during this month there's a possibility of reducing the spread of Corona virus to certain extent according to the Deputy Director General Dr.Hemantha Herath .
