Minister Chamal Rajpakshe ,Prime Ministers Doctor Had Been Infected With Corona Virus

 Minister Of Irrigation Chamal Rajpakshe and the Official Doctor of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe Eliynatha White had been infected with Corona virus and hospitalized according to sources .

Minister Rajapakshe and Dr White had been admitted to two private hospitals for treatment ,

Meanwhile the leader of the local musical group "Sunflowers " Niel Warnakulasuriya had been also infected with Corona virus it has been reported ,

131 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (10)

 Another 131 Corona deaths had been reported today (10) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 10.995 according to Director General of Health Services (DGHS) .

Accordingly 73 males and 58 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has announced ,Out of the deceased 110 were over 60 years of age and 20 were belonged to 30-60 age group ,One of the deceased was under 30 years old ,

Government Has Extended The Quarantine Curfew By Another Week

 Government has extended the current Island Wide Quarantine Curfew Imposed iin the country until 4 a.m on 21st September the President's Media Division has announced ,

This decision has taken during the Covid-19 Control Committee meeting held this morning under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe this morning (10).

Earlier the current Quarantine curfew which is not strict as the one imposed during Sri Lanka's first Corona wave in March last year imposed until next Monday(13) 

A New Research Found Out 95.8 Percent Of The Sri Lanka's Corona Positives Infected With Contagious "Delta Variant

 A research carried out by   the  group of researchers   lead by Prof. Neelika Malavige and  Dr. Chandima Jeewandara from the Allergy, Immunology and Cell Biology Unit of the Department of Immunology Molecular and Molecular Medicine attached to the  Sri Jayawardanapura University in Colombo   has found that the "Delta " Variant was responsible for 95.8 percent of Corona infection in Sri Lanka . 

According to the research it has been revealed that the Delta prevalence was between 84 to 100 percent in different provinces  Dr Jeevandara has stated through a Twitter message issued regarding this  research ,
