202 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (03)

 Another 202 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (03) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to  9606 according to the Director General of Health Services (DGHS) .Accordingly 113 Males and 89 females had died due to Corona infection ,

Out of the deceased 155 were over 60 years of age and 42 were belonged to the age group 30-60 years the DGHS had stated ,05 of the deceased were under 30 years of age it has been revealed  ,

Government Had Extended the Current Quarantine Curfew By Another Week

Government has decided to extend the current island wide quarantine  Curfew enforced  since 20 th of August by another week until 4 a.m on 13th of September according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

This decision has been taken at a Covid Control Committee meeting held today (03 under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapakshe.

Government has urged the public to adhere to anti corona health regulations ,getting vaccinated ,stay home and wear a mask properly when going out of the house .

Meanwhile many have pointed out that the current quarantine curfew enforces island wide is not successful as many vehicles and people are seen  on the roads  daily most of the times .

Sri Lanka Had Begun Vaccinating 20-30 Age Group With Corona Vaccines -Health Minister

 Although more than 60 percent of the age group  over 60 years in the country has not been vaccinated against Corona infection so far he Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella has stated today (02) that ,the Ministry of Health  had begun vaccinating the age group 20-30 years with Corona vaccines already . ,

Accordingly priority will be given to those frontline health workers and garment factory workers belongs to the age group 20-30 years when giving Corona vaccines  the Minister has stressed during a meeting held at the Health Ministry today with the representatives of Public Services Nurses Union , Vaccinating 20-20 age group with Corona vaccines is scheduled to be concluded in October the Minister has further stated ,
