Accordingly 115 males and 100 females had died today due to corona infection .Out of the deceased 167 were over 60 years of age and 46 were belonged to the 30-60 age group it has been revealed ,Another 02 of the deceased were under 30 years of age .

Twenty Eight out of the Thirty persons participated a funeral held in Vavuniya (Northern Province ) had been tested positive for Corona virus according to the health authorities in Vavuniya ,This funeral was held on 24th of August at pattepirindakulama village in olumaduwa ,Vavuniya and suddenly two persons who were attended the funeral got flu and admitted to Vavuniya ,Puliyankulama hospital it has been revealed ,
They had tested positive for corona virus after a PCR test had been performed on them ,Afterwards authorities had done Rapid antigen tests for another 28 participants of the funeral and out of them 26 were tested positive for corona virus it has been reported ,Health authorities in Vavuniya had launched a mission to trace the contacts of these positives it has been reported ,
