 A total  number of 1488 Corona positives had been  reported in the country today (12) t increasing the total  number of Corona positives reported so far to 276,106 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center ,

At the moment 26,363 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals and treatment centers  .,

 The Ministry Of Education has today (12)launched a programme to vaccinate Teachers and non Academic staff of All Schools islandwide with Anti Corona vaccines .

Accordingly around 279,000 School teachers and non Academic staff members in schools are due to be received the vaccines during next two weeks st their schools the Ministry has announced .

Meanwhile staff members of Ministry of Education ,Examination Department and University Grants Commission had received their first dose of anti Corona vaccines it has  been revealed .

Another 26,000 Pfizer Vaccine Vials Arrived In The Country Today (12)

 A stock of 26,000 Pfizer Anti Corona vaccine vials had been airlifted to Sri Lanka this morning (12) according to reports .The stock of Anti Corona vaccine vials had been transported to medical stores in  special lorries from  katunayake International Airport it has been reported .

Sti Lanka had earlier received 26,000 vials of Pfizer vaccine and used it to vaccinate those living in Colombo district  who had received the Oxford Astraseneca "Covishield " vaccine as their first vaccine dose .However the vaccination programme has suspended a day after the commencement and later  it has been revealed that the stock had been sent to vaccinate fishermen in North .
