A 21 Hour Water Cut Imposed In Colombo District Today (10) Amidst Corona And Dengue
A 21 hour Water cut has been imposed in 08 divisions belonging to Colombo District from 9 a.m today (100 until 6 a.m tomorrow (11) due to an urgent maintenance work work of a pipeline according to National Water Supplies and Drainage Board .
Accordingly water supply to Colombo -01 ,02,03,07 ,08,09 ,10 and 11 had been stopped .Water supply to Colombo -04 and 12 will be under low pressure during this period the Water Board has announced .
Ministry Of Health Has Again Issued A Set Of Anti Corona Health Guidelines With Some Errors -Inter Provincial Restrictions Extended-Weddings ,Seminars ,Workshops Allowed , Religious Places Opened
Ministry Of Health has decided to extend the ongoing inter provincial travel restrictions imposed to Control the Corona spread for another 14 days and relaxed some restrictions imposed for weddings ,workshops seminars and launching ceremonies although the daily corona infections are still on surge .A new set of Health Guidelines had already issued regarding this today (10).
Accordingly holding of weddings will be allowed to taken place with 25 percent capacity of the Wedding hall with maximum number of 150 guests and workshops ,seminars and launching ceremonies will be allowed to held with maximum of 50 participants ,Swimming pools ,Walking areas and cafes with delivery facilities are being allowed to operate but no limitations had been announced ,Public are being allowed to eat in restaurants but no restrictions had announced in the guidelines .
In addition all religious places including temples ,churches kovils etc are being allowed to open but again didnt mention any health guidelines to be adapted whilst going to these places.
Spa's again allowed to be functioned and the guidelines says need to adapt health guidelines but didn't mention how to adapt social distancing rules for Spa activities ,
Functions of Government and Private institutions should have carried out with minimum number of workers but this has not applied to factories and garment sector ,
43 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Yesterday (09)
Another 43 Corona Deaths had been reported in the country yesterday (09) according to the National Covid-19 Prevention Center .Accordingly 30 males and 13 females had died due to the Covid Pneumonia and Complications related to Non communicable diseases as a result of Corona infection ..
Out of the deceased 28 were of the ages over 60 years it has been revealed.
1515 Corona Positives Had Been Reported In The Country Yesterday (09)
A Total of 1515 Corona positives had been reported in the country yesterday (09) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 271,483 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center
At the moment 27,057 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Quarantine Centers .
