A Total of 2340 Corona Positives had been reported in the country yesterday (12) raising the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 221,277 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center ,
The majority of the Corona positives which was 561 had been reported in Gampha District and positives had been reported from all 25 districts according to the Center ,At the moment 32,625 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers ,
Another 63 Corona deaths had been reported in the county yesterday (12) increasing the total number of Corona deaths to 2136 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center
Accordingly 33 Males and 30 females had died due to the Covid Pneumonia and complications occurred due to the non communicable diseases they have suffered from the Center has stated ,Many of the deceased were residents pf outstation areas it has been reported ,
The island wide travel restrictions imposed to curb the corona spread in the country has been extended until 21 st of June as recommended by health authorities according to the head of the National Covid -19 Prevention Center .General Shavendra De Silva .
However there's no plan to improse strict restrictions. in the country again às authorities had announced that the factories ,Apparel industry ,Construction sites and economic centers can be functioned during the travel restriction period by adhering anti Corona guidelines strictly it has been reported .
Government has imposed the travel restrictions islandwide since 21 st if May without implementing it strictly in view of reducing the spread of Corona .
Government has increased the price of Petrol ,Diesel and Kerosene oil with effect from midnight yesterday (12) by Rs .20/23,Rs.11 and Rs.7 respectively it has been announced
Accordingly the price of a liter of Octane -92 Petrol had been increased by Rs.20 ,Octane -95 Euro has been increased by Rs.23 ,The price of a liter of Diesel increased by Rs .11 and the price of a liter of Kerosene increased by Rs.7 according to reports .
According to the new price increase the liter of a Octane -92 Petrol had been increased to Rs.157,Price of Octane -95 Euro petrol increased to Rs.184 ,Diesal increased to Rs.111 ,The price of a liter of Kerosene increased to Rs.77..
