Another 43 Corona Deaths Reported Today (01)

 Another 43 Corona deaths had been reported. In the country today (01) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 1527 according to National Covid Prevention Center .


Accordingly 31 males and 12 females resided mainly  in outstation areas had died due to Covid pneumonia and complications related to non communicable diseases .

Thousands Of Vehicles Arrived In Colombo City Despite The Ongoing Travel Restrictions

 Although Government has revealed that  strict Travel restrictions are being imposed throughout the island to curb the spread of Corona virus ,More than 55,000 vehicles had arrived in Colombo City last morning (31) as well as similar number this morning(01) according to the police. .


Around 55,934 Vehicles had arrived in  Colombo City within a space of  three hours last morning it has been revealed. .

Police have taken steps to turned away many vehicles which entered the City both yesterday and today although many had shown the letters  issued by their employers regarding reporting to work .

Police are due to take legal action against institutional heads who had issued letters to their employees requesting to report to work during the pandamic it has been revealed .

Meanwhile Police had arrested 1047 persons during last 24 hours ended this morning regarding violating the quarantine law it has been revealed .

Prima Company Increased The Price Of White Flour

 Prima Fllour Company had increased the price of a  Kilo Gramme of White Flour by Rs.4 with effect from today (01) the Company has announced .


Accordingly the price of a 50 Kilo Gramme  bag of White flour had been increased to 2350 from rs .2150 .

The Prices of Bakery products are also due to increase as a result according to sources .
