Majority Of Corona Positives Reported Yesterday Were From Colombo District

 Out of the 2269 Corona positives reported yesterday (14) 555 were reported  from Colombo district it has been reported.


Majority of Corona positives reported from Colombo which is 126 were reported. In.Piliyandala area it has been revealed .

29 Corona Deaths Were Reported Yesterday (14)Not 31 As Earlier Announced

According to the National Covid -19

Prevention Center 29 Corona deaths had been reported in the country yesterday (14) not 31 as earlier announced and with this total the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country had risen to 921 .

Still the number of Corona deaths reported yesterday   was the highest number of Corona deaths reported in a single day so far according to the center .

Majority if the deceased which was 18 were females and 11 were males resided in mostly outstation areas and were of the ages 41-94 years  it has been revealed .

Landslide Warnings Issued To Six Districts

Land slide waning has been issued to Six Districts in the country including Colombo District   Due to the adverse weather pattern prevailing in the country at present according to National Building Research Organization (NBRO) .


Accordingly Colombo ,Galle ,Kalutara ,Kegalle ,Matara and Rathnapura districts had been identified as landslide risk areas the Organization has stated .

Those who are living in mountainous and slope areas in those six Districts are being advised to be vigilant over Land slide signs NBRO has stressed .

Three Died Due To Adverse Weather Pattern

 Three deaths had been reported due to the adverse weather pattern prevailing throughout the island these days according to Disaster Management Center .


Accordingly more than 2500 families in 07 districts are being affected due to the adverse weather pattern it has been reported .
