Three Persons Including Father In Law of Main Suspect Carried Out Easter Sunday Attacks Had Been Arrested

Officers attached to Terrorism Investigations Division (TID) had yesterday (22) arrested three persons including the father of the terrorist leader who had carried out Easter sunday attacks Zaharan Hashim at Kakunagolla in ,Kuliyapitiya (North Western province )over attending extremist classes conducted by Zaharan and his followers .

The three suspected are of the ages 40-65 it had been revealed .

Two Areas In Wariyapola Town Had Been Isolated

Niraviya and Nikadalupotha Grama Niladari Areas (Rural Development Officer areas ) in Wariyapola area at Kurunagala District (North Western province ) had bern isolated with immediate effect since this morning (23)to.controk the surge of Corona cases ,The National Covid -19 Prevention Center has announced .

This step has been taken due to the riding number of Corona infections reported in those two areas the Center has stated .The isolation has been imposed until further notice .

Another Corona Cluster Found At A Factory In Panadura

Another Corona cluster has been identified from a private Apperal factory in Panadura area(Colombo District ) as 29 female employees attached to the factory who had returned to work from their houses in outstation areas after new year holidays had tested positive for Corona virus during "PCR " tests Performes on them.

the Corona positives identified from the cluster will be hospitalized and "PCR "tests are due to be conducted on their contacts according to Health authorities .

Meanwhile researchers suspected the members of Corona cluster found at a state bank in Colombo fort may have infected with new british Variant of the Corona virus .

A total number of 657 Corona positives had been reported today (22) in the country. ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported s far to 98,722 the National Covid -19 Prevention Center has stated .

At the moment 4204 Corona Positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Quarantine.centers .

Kuliyapitiya Police Division Has Been Isolated

Kuliyapitiya Police Division has been isolated with immediate effect since this evening (22)due to the surge of Corona cases in the Police division the National Covid -19 Prevention Center has announced .

Accordingly the Kuliyapitiya Police division has been isolated until further notice rhe center has stated .. Meanwhile 10 percent of the population who had undergone "PCE " tests had been tested positive for Corona virus .
