Eight Out Of The Ten Employees working in A Negambo Restaurant Had Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Eight workers out of the Ten  workers working in a Luxary restaurant at Periyamulla area in Negambo had tested positive for Corona virus today (19) according to Health officials .





Two Corona Deaths Reported Today (19)

 Another 02 Corona deaths had been reported today (19) according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .


Accordingly  the total number of Corona deaths reported in the country so far had risen to 620 the Center has stated  A 58 year old female resided in Mahawa area and a 84 year old make resided at Marassana area had died due to Covid Pneumonia and complications of non communicable diseases they have suffered from as a result of Corona infection .

291 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (19)

 A total of 291 Corona Positives had been reported today (19),Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 97,105 According to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .


At the moment 3111 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers the Center has stated .

260 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (18)

 Another 260 Corona positives had been reported today (18) in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 96,796 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .


At the moment 3065 Corona Positives are being treated in Government Hospitals and Quarantine Centers the Center has stated .

Meanwhile the President of the Medical Laboratory Technologists Association Ravi Kumudesh  has stated b today that the total number of Corona positives reported in the country has exceeded 100,000 on 03rd of April although the health authorities has stated that little more than 96,000 corona positives had been reported in the country so far .

A Person Arrested Over The Killing Of A Female Elephant And Her Calf

 Wild life officers in Momaragala District had yesterday (17)arrested a 42 year old person over attempting to burn the bodies of a female elephant and  her calf after being killed them through electrocution it has been reported .


The suspect had killed the 25 year old Female elephant and her one and half year old calf through electrocution. And put their bodies in To a gem mine at Minipuragama area In okkampitiya ,Buttala area according to sources .

The bodies of the two elephants had been recovered by the Wild life officers .
