221 Corona Positives Had Been Recovered And Discharged Yesterday (17)

 Another 221 Corona positives had been recovered and discharged yesterday (17) according to Epidemeology Unit.


Accordingly  92,832 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers at the moment.

All Schools Are Scheduled To Be Reopened Tomorrow (19)After New Year Holiday Week -Education Ministry

 All Grades of All the Government and Private schools as well as kindergartens are scheduled to be re opened tomorrow (19) after the Sinhala /Hindu new year holidays fell last week according to the Ministry of Education .However education activities of all schools and kindergartens will be held accordance to the Anti Corona health guidelines issued by the Health ministry on how to conduct school activities during corona pandamic the Ministry had stated .


Government has also reopened Tution classes and Daham pasal (Religious classes ) last week  accordance to the corona health guidelines .

253 Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (17)

 A total of 253 Corona Positives had been reported in the country yesterday (17)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country to  96,439 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .


At the moment 2990 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers it has been revealed .


Two Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Yesterday (17)

 Two. More Corona deaths had been. Reported Yesterday.(17) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported in the country to.617 according to the National Covid -19  Prevention Center .


Accordingly a 73 year old female resided in Kelsniya area and a 71 year old male resided in Kurunagala area had died due to the Covid Pneumonia and complications of non communicable diseases they have suffered from the Center has stated.

Another Seven Corona deaths had been reported last Friday it has been revealed .
