A 15 Hour Long Water Cut Is Being Imposed In Colombo City Since This Morning

A 15 hour long Water Cut had been imposed by the National Water supply and drainage Board in four divisions in Colombo City since 9 a.m this morning (21) with a short notice citing an essential repair work of a pipeline .

Accordingly water supply to Colombo -01,03,09 and 14 had been stopped for 15 hours and during that period water supply to Colombo -02,07,08 and 10 will be under low pressure the Board has announced. .

Water Board is continuously imposing Unnecessary long hour water cuts during weekends without a valid reason during Corona pandamic and The electricity board is imposing long hour Electricity cuts in several areas of Colombo district during weekdays citing road construction work .

More Than 800,000 Locals Had Been Vaccinated With Corona Vaccine Up-to-date

A total number of 824,523 Persons had been vaccinated with Oxford *Astraseneca Covishield Anti Corona vaccine up-to-date according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly 8938 persons had been vaccinated with the vaccine dose yesterday (20).

Sri lanka is still using the One million Corona vaccine doses received from Serum institute in India since last January and already received another 500,000 Covishield vaccine doses under the Covax facility of World Health Organization .

346 Corona Positives And 01 Corona Death Reported Yesterday (20)

Another 346 Corona Positives and a Corona death had been reported in the Country yesterday (20)according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives reported in the country so far had been increased to 89,846 and the total number of Corona deaths to 545 the Center has stated .

A 85 year old male resided at Buwalikada area in Handy had died due to Covid Pneumonia yesterday according to Health Ministry .Ge had died whilst receiving treatment at A private hospital in Kandy .

At the moment 2836 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and Quarantine centers .
