A Minor Employee Arrested Over Taking Bribes From An Individuals To Give Priority When Getting Corona Vaccination

 A Minor Employee  attached to A MOH office in Maradana had been arrested by the Maradana Police yesterday (06) over taking Rs.1000 each from an  individuals who were in Queue at a Corona Vaccine Center   to give priority for  Getting  the Oxford -Astraseneca "Covishield " Vaccine according to the Police .

The suspect was arrested whilst working in the Vaccine Center located at Muslim Culture Center in Dematagoda Road ,Maradana  last evening with a sum of Rs.20,000 collected from an individuals who were in the queue to get the vaccine outside the queue  Maradana Police has stated ,

According to the Police Intelligence Division at Western Province ,the suspect has involved in taking bribe  money from an individuals in Vaccine Queue to give priority when receiving vaccines since the beginning  of the Corona Vaccination Programme .Police investigations are underway regarding the incident .

Four Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (06)

 Another 04 Corona deaths had been reported yesterday (06) Increasing the total. Number of Corona deaths that had been reported so far to 497 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly two males and two females resided at Dodamgoda ,Colombo -09,kolonnawA and Battaranulle areas had died due to the complications of the non communicable diseases suffered by them as a result of Corona infection .

The deceased were of the ages 83,65 and 77 years it has been revealed .However the age of the deceased female at Colombo -09 has not yet been identified .

360 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (06)

 A total of 360 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (06)in the country ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 85,336 according to the National Covid 19 Prevention Center

.

Accordingly all these Corona positives were close contacts of previous Corona positives reported from several Corona clusters in the country it has been. Reported .

At the moment 3074 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers the National Covid -19 Prevention Center has stated .

Another 20 Hour Long Water Cut To Be Implemented In A Section Of Colombo District Today (06)

 Another  major 20 hour long water cut to be implemented in Rajagiriya ,kolonnawA Urban Council area ,Moragasmulla ,Obeysekarapura ,Bandaranayaka pura ,Nawala and Koswatte areas from 9 a.m this morning (06)until early morning tomorrow (07) by one of the most corrupted institution of Sri lanka the National  Water Supplies and Drainage Board it has been announced .

This long hour water cut  is scheduled to be implemented for a renovation work of a major water pump pumping water from Ambathale to kolonnawA the Water Board had stated .

According to sources the water board is implementing this kind of  unnecessary water cuts during weekends to allow their workers to earn extra payments .

This is the second time during last two weeks that long hour water cut is being implemented  in Colombo district citing a  major repair work .
