A 16 Hour Major Water Cut Imposed In Colombo District Today (20) Amidst Corona Pandamic-Still Health Authorities Want Public To Maintain Good Health Practices

 Amidst Corona spread National Water Supplies drainage Board has today (20) imposed a 16 hour unnecessary water cut in all Municipal and Urban council areas and one padesheeya sabha (Local council )area in Colombo District    from 8 a m to 12 in the midnight ,putting public severe difficult situation .

According to Water board they have imposed the 16 hour long water cut in Colombo ,Dehiwala -Mount Lavinia ,Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Council areas ,In Maharagama ,Boealesfamuwa ,Kaduwela and kolonnawa Urban council areas as we as Kotikawatta -Mulleriyawa pradesheeya sabha area due to an essential repair work .However the Board  hasn't  mention  the repair work .

As a result many people in Colombo district especially   those in slum areas are being faced with enormous difficulties it has been reported. 

However health authorities are keeping  on asking public to adapt good hygiene practices including washing hands regularly during the Corona pandamic .

Three Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (19)

 Another 03 Corona deaths had been reported today(19)increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 433 According to National Covid -19 prevention Center .

Accordingly three males resided at  Matale ,Kalagefihena and Nugegoda areas had died due to the complications of the non communicable diseases they have suffered from caused by Corona infection the Center has stated .

The deceased were of the ages 83,63 and 73 years old .

Another 506 Corona positives Had Been Reported Today (19)

 Another 506 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (19) ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to  78,937 According to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

All these positives were contacts of the previous positives. The Center has stated .

At the moment 5941 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals and Treatment centers .

A Fire Has Broken Out At Kerawalapitiya Garabage Dump Yesterday (18)

 A huge fire had Broken out  at the place where Polythene and Plastics  are  being dumped  in Garbage Dump at  Kerawalapitiya ,Muthurajawela area last evening (18) it has been reported .

Accordingly the fire that occurred at a 4 acre area in Kerawalapitiya Garbage dump is still raging and The fire fighters ,Tri forces personal and the Police are engaged  in dousing the fire the sources have stated .Airforce is using Helicopters to spray the water to the area where the fire is prevailing . 

Another 514 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (18)

 A total of 522 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (18) in the country ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 78 ,420 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center .Out of these Corona positives 501 were locals and 13 were  foreign returnees .

The majority of these positives which was 105 were reported from Colombo district ,

All these positives reported yesterday were contacts of Previous Corona positives reported from Paliyagoda Corona cluster the Center has stated .During last few days the number of "PCR " tests performed in the country as well as issuing of "PCR " test results  had been reduced due to some internal problems and as a result the number of Positives reported daily too were decreased  the Health Ministry sources have stated .

At the moment 6167 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals and Treatment centers .
