State Minister Of Women's Affairs And Child Development Piyal Nishnatha Had Been Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 State Minister Of Women's Affairs ,Child Development and Pre Schools Piyal Nishnatha ,had been tested positive for Corona Virus today (18) through a Rapid Antigen Test performed on him .The state minister's wife and child had  also tested positive for the virus it has been revealed .

All three of them had sent to the Koggala Treatment center for treatment it has been revealed .

Meanwhile Minister Of Education Professor G.L Pieris had announced that he is under self quarantine as State Minister Nishnatha had met him recently .

627 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (18)

 A total of 627 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (18) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 53,750 according to the National Covid-19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly all the Corona positives reported today were contacts of the previous Corona positives reported from Minuwangoda ,Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona clusters the center has stated ,The total number of Corona positives reported from these three Corona Clusters so far is 49.910 according to the Center .

At the moment 7880 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .

Another 06 Corona Deaths Reported Today (18)

 Another 06 Corona deaths had been reported today (18),increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far from the island to 270 accordibg to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly  five males and a female  had died due to the complications  of non communicable diseases suffered by them caused by Corona infection .

The deceased were residents of Colombo -03,Colombo -15,Modara ,Dehiwala ,Kalutara south and Ratnapura of the ages 63,80,75,65,75 and 65 years respectively .

Eight Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (17)

 Another 08 Corona deaths had been reported today (17),increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 264 according to

National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly 07 males and a female had died due to the complications of the non communicable diseases they have suffered from as a result of the Corona infection .

The deceased were residents of Udupussallawa ,kolonnawa,Polonnaruwa ,Borella  Colombo ,-08,Ududumbara ,Kegalle and Dehiwala area .The deceased were of the age group 27-87 years .

749 Corona Positives Reported Today (17?

 A total of 749 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (17)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 53,,062 according  to the Ministry Of Health .

Accordingly all these positives were contacts of the previous Corona positives   reported from Minuwangoda ,Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona Clusters  the Ministry has stated .

So far  49,274  Corona positives had been reported from these clusters it has been revealed  .At the moment 7627 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers .

715 Corons Positives Reported Today (16)

 A total of 715 Corona positives had been reported today (16)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported in the  country to 52,313 aaccording to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly out of the total number of Corona positives  reported today ,357 were contacts of the Corona positives reported from Paliyagoda Corona cluster and 15 were contacts of the positives reported from prisons cluster.

At the moment 7311 Corona positives are being treated  at Government hospitals and treatment centers. .

A Corona Death Reported Today (16)

A Corona death was reported today (16) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 256 according to Ministry of Health .

Accordingly  82 year old female who was a resident of Ethulkotte area has died due to the severe heart attack caused by Corona infection .
