Metlixwatte In Pitakotte Had Been Isolated

 Pitakotte MOH office had isolated ,Metlixwatte area in Epiramulla ,Pitakotte  today (18) after identifying 50 Corona positives from the area through PCR tests it has been revealed .


Accordingly PCR Tests were performed on 140 persons at Metlixwatte and 50, were tested positive it has been revealed. All the positives had been hospitalized and their close contacts  are being quarantined it has been revealed .

Three Villages In Polgahawela Had Been Isolated

 Three villages attached to Polgahawela Police Division had been isolated due to a Corona death reported from.a village there according to Polgahawela Police .


Accordingly Madalagama ,Bandawa and Aluthgama villages had been isolated since this evening .A 62 year old female at Bandawa area had died due to corona infection at Kurunagala Teaching Hospital .

Five Corona Deaths Were Re

 Another five Corona deaths (four males and a female )had been reported today (18) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far here  to 165 according to Epidemeology Unit.


Accordingly the deceased were  of the ages 72,86,76,50 and 86 years resiided in Agalawatte ,Maggona ,Colombo -15 ,Maharagama and Wathupitiwala areas ..Out of these deaths two died  at home and four were occurred whilst receiving treatment at hospitals .

660 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (18)

 A total of 660 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (18)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 36,049 according to Epidemeology Unit. 


Accordingly all these Corona positives reported today belongs to Minuwangoda ,Paliyagoda and Prisons Corona clusters the unit has stated .

So far 32,380. Corona positives had been identified from these clusters .

At the moment 8828 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and treatment centers it had been revealed .
