Bogambara Village In Kandy District Has Been Isolated

 Bogambara Village in Kandy District had been isolated with immediate effect from yesterday (04)after identifying  12 Corona positives in the village according to Central province Governor Lalith U Gsmage 


"PCR 'tests were performed on 50 close contacts of the 12 Corona positives identified in Bogambara Village the Governor has stated .

A Corona Death Was Reported From IDH Hospital Yesterday (04)

 A single Corona death had been  reported in the country yesterday (04 ) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported here  so far  to 130 the Director General Of Health Services Dr Asela Gunawardana has announced  .


Accordingly a 72 year old male resident of Piliyandala area has died due to the complications of a Bacterial infecion and Heart problem caused by Corona infection whilst receiving treatment at IDH Hospital in Angoda .




517 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (04)

 A total of 517 Corona positives had been reported today(04)in the country increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 26,559 according to Epidemeology Unit .


Accordingly authorities have named  all these positives reported today as the close contacts of Paliyagoda fish market corona cluster .Now the total number corona positives reported from this cluster increased to 23,005 it has been reported .

At the moment 6991 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals and treatment centers .

728 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals After Full Recovery Yesterday (03)

 Another 728 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals and treatment centers yesterday (03)
after full recovery according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 19,032 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals so far after full recovery .

65 Fishing Boats In Mannar Had Been Destroyed Due To Cyclone Burevi

 Around 65 Fishing boats in Mannar and more than 150 fishing huts at Mannar and pesalai areas  were destroyed due to the strong winds caused by Cyclone storm Burevi which hit Sri Lanka on last Wednesday it has been reported .


Fisheries boats numbering 65 at Mannar were drifted away to the  seas and destroyed after colliding with each other and with stones according to reports .

A church in pasalai area had been  also destroyed due to strong winds
