Supreme Court Dismisses 12 Fundamental Rights Petitions Demanding To Stop Cremating Corona Victims
The three member Supreme Court Judge panel headed by Chief Justice Jayantha Jsyasuriya had today (01)dismissed 12 fundamental rights petitions filed by Muslim leaders demanding to abolish the gazette notification directing to cremate all Corona victims instead of burying them ,Without reviewing .
Muslim Political party leaders Civil activists and some of the public had filed these fundamental rights petitions before supreme court saying the gazette notification directing to cremate all corona victims in the country is violating the fundamental rights of muslim.commumiy.
Another 02 Mahara Prison Inmates Died At Ragama Hospital
Another 02 Prison inmates attached to Mahara Prison who had been injured during the tense situation occurred at the prison on Sunday had died today (01)whilst receiving treatment at Ragama Teaching Hospital .
Accordingly 11 prison inmates attached to Mahara Prison had died due to the incident.
Another 04 inmates who were undergone surgeries after admission are being treated at Intensive Care Unit of the Ragama Hospital .
Meanwhile 30 injured prison inmates at Ragama hospital had been transferred to Welikada Prisons hospital today due to a tense situation occurred among them
257 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (01)
A total of 257 Corona positives had been discharged from government hospitals today (01)after full recovery according to the Epidemeology Unit .
The total number of Cotona positives discharged from Hospitals after full recovery had risen to 17,817 the unit has stated .
Four Corona Deaths Reported Today (01)
Another 04 Corona Deaths had been reported today (01)increasing the total number of Corona deaths in the country to 122 according to Epidemeology Unit .
Accordingly two male and two female Corona positives of the ages 74,93 and 81 had died today due to complications of the infection and three of them have died at home it had been revealed .
The deceased were residents of Colombo -12,Rajagiriya ,kolonnawA and Colombo -10 according to reports .
