Isolation In Six Areas In Colombo And Gampaha To Be Lifted Tomorrow (23)

 Health Authorities had decided to lift the isolation imposed in six areas in Colombo and Gampaha Districts with effect  from 5 a.m tomorrow (23) morning  due to the control of spreading corona virus it has been. Announced  today (22).

Accordingly isolation imposed in  Borella ,Colombo Fort ,Wellampitiya Slave Island ,Ja-Ela and Kadawatha areas will be lifted from tomorrow morning .

However Isolation in Borella police division ,Wanathamulla Rural development  officer area  and Wkanda Rural Development officer area as well as isolation in other areas in Colombo and Gampaha Districts will continue until further notice .

491 Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (21)

 A total of 491 Corona positives had been reported in the Country yesterday (21) according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .  

Out of  these  positives  487 were close contacts of previous  positives and 04 were who are under quarantine at quarantine centers the center has stated .

Accord.ingly the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country had  risen to 19,771.

At the moment 6098  Corona positives are being treated at hospitals and treatment centers.

09 Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (21)

 A total of 09 Corona deaths had been reported yesterday (21)in the island ,Increasing the total number of Corona Deaths in the country to 83 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly five male and four female residents of Colombo district had died due to Corona infection yesterday and this is the highest corona death toll reported here in a single day so far .

The deceased were of  the ages 57, 65, 89, 48,72,69,75,76, and 76 tears old and three   of them had died at home .

SLTB Bus Carrying Parliament Staff Toppled In To A Pond Last Evening (20)

 The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB)Bus which arrived in Parliamentary Complex to transport Parliament staff members to their houses had toppled into the nearby pond last evening (20)as the driver of the bus unable to control the vehicle due to the heavy showers prevailed in at that time .

Around 15 Staff members of the parliament were inside the bus at the time of the incident and the residents in the area had rescued them unharmed .

The Bus was there in the pond for hours until a crane arrived to remove that it has been reported .
