A Prison Inmate At Old Bogambara Prison Was Killed Whilst Attempting To Escape And Another Fled Away And Captured
A prison inmate under quarantine at old Bogambara Prison in Kandy had been killed and three other prison inmates were captured after five prison inmates who were under quarantine had attempted to escape from prison last night (17)according to Department of Prisons .
However one prison inmate under quarantine had been escaped from the prison and authorities had managed to capture him whilst in Kandy city this evening .The prison inmate had been sent to old Bogambara Prison for a compulsory 14 day quarantine it has been revealed .
377 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (18)
A group of 377 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals today (18)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit .
Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from Hospitals after full recovery so far had risen to 12,587 the unit has stated .
325 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (18)
A total of 325 Corona positives had been reported today (18)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 18,402 according to Epidemeology Unit .
All the positives that had been reported today were close contacts of the Paliyagoda Corona cluster it has been revealed
At the moment 14,880 Are there in the Minuwangoda Brsndix and Paliyagoda fish market clusters
Three Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (18)
Another 03 Corona Deaths had been reported today (18)increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 69 according to Ministry Of Health .
Accordingly two males and female had died due to the corona infection .
Among the deceased a 70 year old male resident of Ksndana has died at home due to the complications of Non communicable diseases he had suffered with as a result of corona infection ,A 74 year old female resident of Colombo -12 has died at Homagama Base Hospital due to the complications of Non Communicable diseases caused by the virus and a 48 year old male resident of Colombo -13 had died at home due to the complications of diabetes caused by corona virus .

Among the Budget proposals presented by the finance Minister were Granting permission to non executive grade employees of the public sector to engage in employment or private practice after office hours ,banning the single use of polythene and plastics from 01st of January 2021 and Granting tax concessions for imported motor spare parts .
