311 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (16)

A total of 311 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals yesterday (16) after full recovery according to Ministry Of Health .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives that had been discharged from hospitals up to now after full recovery had risen to 11,806 the Ministry has stated 

382 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (16)

 A total of 382 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (16) increasing the total number of Corona positives to 17,674 according to The National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Accordingly majority of Corona positives reported yesterday ,Which is 231 had been reported from Colombo District and 42 were reported from Gampaha District ,20 were reported from Kalutara District and 11 were reported from Kurunagala District .

51 Prison inmates at Bogambara Prison had been tested positive for Corona virus yesterday the center has stated .

At the moment 5807 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals .

Colombo Mayor Requested The Govt .To Lockdown Colombo City For Three Weeks To Control Corona Pandamic

 Mayor of  Colombo Municipal Council Rosy Senanayake has yesterday (16)requested the government to lockdown the Municipal Council area for at least three weeks to control  the spreading of Corona virus in the area .

Accordingly A large number of Corona positives had been reported in the council area  so far and due to this situation  there's a need to restrict  the movements of the public  in the city  for at least three weeks  to control the spreading of the virus she has stated .

Around 200 employees attached to the Colombo Municipal Council had been tested positive for Corona virus already .

Three Corona Deaths Reported today (16)

 Three more Corona deaths had been reported today (16)in the island increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 61 According to Health Ministry .

Accordingly 84 year old female of Moratuwa ,70.Year old male ftom. colombo -10 and 75 year old Male from Colombo -13 had died due to the complications of Corona infection..

Veteran Local Pop Singer Paul Fernando Has Passed Away

Veteran Sri Lankan pop singer Paul fernando Nick named as "Prince of Baila "has passed away this evening (16)whilst receiving treatment at Kalubowila Teaching Hospital .

He was 68 years old at the time of his death and sung many popular hit songs including "Awe Wanabambareku wage ",Golu hadawatha wiwara karanna ",Supun  sanda payala na ",Mala mama ",Ruwan maliga natha","Paan mama ","Sandapana Wage","And Mage paasal kalaya " .
