Five Police Divisions In Colombo And Kelaniya Police Division In Gampaha To Be Isolated From.Tomorrow (16)

 Due to the surge of Corona positives authorities have yesterday (14)decided to isolate another  five Police divisions in Colombo district with effect from 5 a.m tomorrow (16)until further notice .

Accordingly Maradana ,Colombo Fort ,Pettah ,slave Island and Dam Street Police divisions will be isolated from 5 a.m tomorrow .

The 12 other Police divisions in Colombo which are isolated since last Monday (09) remain as isolated areas according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

Meanwhile Kelaniya police division in Gampaha District will also scheduled to be isolated until further notice from 5 a.m tomorrow morning .

278 Prison Inmates In The Country Had Been Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 278 Prison inmates in the country had been tested positive for Corona virus upto now according to Department of Prisons .

Out of these positives 107 were female prison inmates and 68 prison inmates of the Bogambara Prison in kandy had been tested positive for Corona virus yesterday (13) the Department has stated .

Also. 07 prison officers were tested positive for Corona virus upto now .

A Group Of Prisoners In Kalutara Prison Had Been Launched A Roof Top Protest Against Delaying Their Court Cases

 A group of 15 Prison inmates attached to Kslutara Prison had launched a protest campaign on the roof of prison building since last afternoon (13)demanding authorities  to grant them bail after concluding their court cases .

The group of prisoners want authorities to finalized government analysts reports on them and resume their court procedures enable them to get bail .

Most of these prison inmates are being remanded over narcotic offences .

Earlier in the week a group of prisoners at Bogambara Prison had launched a protest on the roof of the prison demanding authorities to conduct "PCR "tests on them as a group of prisoners in the prison had been identified as corona positives  

378 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (13)

 378 Corona positives had been discharged  from Hospitals yesterday (13)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly these positives. Had been discharged from 24 Government hospitals and treatment centers it had been revealed .

Up to now 11,031 Corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals  

468 Corona Positives. had Been Reported Today (13)

 A total of 468 Corona positives had been reported today (13)in the island increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country to 16,191 according to Epidemeology Unit .

All the Corona positives reported today. Were close contacts of the previous Corona Positives it has been revealed .

At the moment 5107 Corona positives are being treated at government hospitals .
