646 Corona Positives Had Been Recovered And Discharged From Hospitals Today (11)

 A total of 646 Corona positives had been discharged from Government Hospitals today (11)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit .


Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from Hospitals so far  had been risen to 10,183 the unit has stated .

At the moment 4797 Corona Positives are being treated at Government Hospitals .

Eight Corona Deaths Reported In The Island Yesterday (10) and Today (11)

 Eight Corona Deaths  had been reported in the island both yesterday (10) and today (11) up to now ,increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 44 according to Epidemeology Unit. 


Accordingly five Corona deaths three from.Colombo District and two from.Gsmpaha District had been reported yesterday and three Corona deaths ,two from Colombo and one from. Gampaha District had been reported today so far the unit has stated. 

The five Deceased Corona positives reported yesterday were of the ages 51,45,63 ,48 and 50-60 years  old four of them were males it has been revealed .Two deaths occurred at home and other three were occurred whilst admitting to hospitals .

The 48 year old male who had been confirmed as a Corona positive yesterday due to the "PCR "test performed on him.duri ng the post mortem had been suffered from.a Cancer since long time and he has died at his home according to.reports .

During today three Corona deaths had been reported in the country so far and all of them were make residents of Colombo .They were of the ages 80,40 and 44 years old it has been revealed .

430 Corona Positives Reported From The Country Yesterday (10)

 A total of 430 Corona Positives had been reported in the island yesterday (10) increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country  to 14,715 according to Epidemeology Unit .


Accordingly majority of these positives numbering 251 had been reported from Colombo District and 118 were reported from Gampaha District and 16 were reported from.Kalutara District it had been revealed .

Out of the 251 Corona positives reported from Colombo District yesterday ,55 were reported from.Colpetty ,32 were reported from Grandpass and 28 were reported from Fort area .

23 Corona positives had been reported yesterday from Bogambara Prison  and 91 positives were reported from police stations 

At tthe moment 5137 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals .

The members of the Minuwangoda Brandix Corona cluster had been increased to 11,237 according to reports 

67 Nattamis In Colombo Had Been Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 A group of 67 "Nattamis "located  around Maning Town Market Complex in Pettah ,Colombo  had been tested positive for Corona virus during the "PCR "tests performed on them it has been revealed.


Accordingly the Maning Town Market Complex is still. being closed as a result. After the authorities  had announced last Sunday (07)that the Market complex will be opened for business from  Monday morning 'a large number of vegetable providers had arrived in Colombo to supply the vegetables ,However due to the sudden decision taken not to open it that day they were faced severe hardships .

Afterwards some vegetable providers had went to Dambulla Economic Center to provide vegetables and it too not functioned properly due to the lack of consumers .

New Covid -19 Transport Policy Has Been Implemented Since Last Night -Bus Fare Increased In.Some Areas

 The Ministry Of Transport has increased the minimum bus fare by RS. 2  from RS.12 to RS.14 under the New Covid -19 Transport Policy with effect from midnight last night (10).


Accordingly The price of the Bus fare has been increased due to the extra expenses the Bus owners need to bear as a result of adapting Anti corona  health guidelines  during  transporting passengers  these days Ministry has stated .

According  to the New Covid-19 transport policy minimum bus fare will be revised  in those areas declared as Corona alert  Levels 2 and 3 where buses  are only allowed to transport passengers according to the number of seats and 50 percent of seat capacity  respectively .

In those areas under Alert level -01  bus fare prices are not subjected to revise but Buses need to adapt Anti corona health guidelines when transporting passamgers .
