Two Areas In Moratuwa Police Division Had Been Isolated ,

 Rural Development Officer (Grama Seva Areas ) Areas of Northern and Southern Angulana  at Moratuwa Police Division had been isolated with immediate effect National Covid -19 Prevention Center has Announcrd .this evening (09).

This step has been taken to prevent the spreading of Corona virus in those areas.

84 Year Old Female Died Due To Corona Infection

 A 84 year old female resided in Kandana area in Colombo has died today (09) due to Neumonia fever occurred as a result of Corona infection at National Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH)at Angoda according to the Ministry of Health .

The deceased had been transferred to IDH Hospital from a private hospital after showing corona symptoms  and suffered  with prolonged illness it has been revealed  .This Is the 36 th corona death reported in the country .

Kandana And Mahabage Police Divisions Had Been Isolated

Kandana and Mahabage Police divisions in Colombo  District had been isolated with immediate effect the National Covid -19 Prevention Center has announced this evening (09).

This step has been taken to prevent the spreading of Corona virus in these areas the Center has stated .

Meanwhile the Mathugama MOH office in Kalutara District had been closed down Temporarily today (09)after a Dengu assistant of the MOH Office had been  tested positive for corona virus .The female MOH. along with 60  persons in the MOH Office are being quarantined after performing "PCR "tests. On them .

Seventy Two Prison Inmates At Welikada Prison Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 Seventy two prison inmates at Welikada prison including the wife of major suspect of the Easter sunday Bomb attack Saharan Hashim had been infected with Corona virus it had been revealed .

Accordingly 63 female prison inmates ,08 male inmates and a prison officer attached to Welikada prison had been tested positive for corona virus so far. 

All these positives had been admitted to Welikanda Treatment center for treatment .
