633 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (30)

A total of 633 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (30)in the island ,increasing the total number of Corons positives reported in the country to 10,421 according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly majority of these positives which is 264 had been reported from Gampaha District and belonging to Minuwangoda Brsndix and Paliyagoda fish market clusters the unit has stated .There were some positives without a knowing source it had been revealed .

At the moment 6005 Corona Positives are being treated at government hospitals .

20 th Corona Death Had Been Reported Today (31)

A 54 year old female who has died yesterday (30)at Colombo National Hospital due to Complications of Non communicable diseases she had suffered ,had been identified as a Corona positive today (31)through the "PCR "test performed on her.

This is the 20 th Corona death reported from Sri Lanka so far and the 06 th Corona death reported in the island during last one and half week period according to Health Ministry.

The deceased who was a resident of Colombo -12 had been admitted to Colombo National Hospital due to diabetes and other non communicable diseases she had suffered with according to hospital sources.

A Four Year Old Child Was Killed Due To wild Elephant Attack At A Temple

A four year old child had been killed due to a Wild Elephant attack at Galapitagama Temple in Kaluwaragaswewa area this evening (30) whilst participating a Bodhi puja (Religious observances ) held at the temple with mother .

A Wild Elephant arrived at the temple grab both the child and the mother by his trunk but only trampled the child after falling to the ground according to reports .The critically injured child. Had succumbed to his injuries after admitting to Anamaduwa hospital.

Three Areas In Mirihana ,Nugegoda And Area Of Kurunagala Are Being Isolated Due To Corona Positives

Three areas in Mirihana ,Nugegoda (Colombo )and Kurunagala (North Western Province )are being. Isolated today (30)due to the surge of Corona Positives in these areas the National Covid -19 Prevention Center has announced .

Accordingly Pragathipura ,Rahulapura and Walsiripura areas in Mirihana ,Nugegoda and vilgoda area in Kurunagala are being isolated from today until further notice it has been reported .

Three areas isolated in Mirihana ,Nugegoda faced these restrictions due to the reporting of 14 Corona positives from those areas and vilgoda area in Kurunagala had been locked down today after 6 persons in the area had been tested positive for corona virus.

In Addition another 02 persons working as fish merchants in vilgoda also tested positive for the virus and all businesses in Kurunagala City had been closed down as a result
