Health Authorities. Had imposed a Quarantine Cufew in Gothatuwa and Mulledityawa areas in Colombo from 7 p.m today (23)i until further notice virus to prevent the spreading of Corona virus in these areas .
Public in these areas are being urged to stay at home during the curfew period the National Covid -19 prevention center has announced .
Health authorities had yesterday (23) isolated five villages in Walallawita
Accordingly Gulavita North ,Gulawita south ,Magurumaswita ,Mskalandawa and VedaWatte villages are being isolated .
A 26 year old Corona suspect receiving treatment at Salawa hospital in Kosgama had fled away from hospital last morning -23 and found whilst staying at a house in 13 th floor of the Sahaspura Housing scheme at Borells last noon .
The Corona suspect who is resident of Kelaniya Road Wellampitiya had been re admitted to the Salawa Hospital after finding him at the housing scheme according to the police .
Legal action will be taken against the person who had fled away from hospital under the quarantine law after completing his quarantine process according to the Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana .
A total of 83 corona positives had been discharged from Hospitals yesterday -23 after full recovery according to the Epidemiology Uni.
Accordingly the total number of ,Corona positives discharged from the hospitals had risen to 3644.
A total of 866 Corona positives had been reported in the Country yesterday -23 and Majority of them were employees attached to Paliyagoda Fish Market according to Epidemiology Unit .
Accordingly 535 of these positives were employees of the Paliyagoda fish market anf 331 were close contacts of the Paliyagoda and Minuwangoda Brsndix Corona clusters .
398 positives reported yesterday are residents of Colombo District according to the Epidemiology Unit .
With these positives the total number of Corona positives reported in the country had risen to 7153 the unit had stated .At the moment 3495 Corona positives are being treated in government hospitals .
