A Sri Lankan Worker Of A Foreign Oil Tanker Had Avoided Quarantine And Fled away


 A Sri Lankan worker attached to a foreign Oil Tanker arrived at Colombo Harbor yesterday (03) had fled away whilst on the way to a local Quarantine Center for Quarantine and found at his house in Joseph Xavier Road at Payagala ,Kalutara by the Public Health Inspectors in Beru
wala MOH Office .

The Oil Tanker worker is being placed under 14 day self isolation at his house and the Three wheeler driver of a Three wheeler which the worker had used to travel home is being also under self isolation at his house in Payagala area it has been revealed .The Oil Tanker worker had used a Bus and a Three wheeler to travel his house according to reports .

Public In Gampaha District Is Being Advised To Undergo A "PCR " Test If They Have Fever

 The acting Director General Of
Health Services Dr.S .Sridharan has today (04) requested the
residents of Gampaha District to undergo a "PCR " tests at a nearest Hospital if they have developed Fever these days .


This announcement has been made as a result of the health situation occurred in Gampaha District after reporting a Corona positive in the district .

University Of Kelaniya And Ayurveda School In Yakkala Are Being Closed For A Week



University of Kelaniya and
Wikramarachchi  Ayurveda Institute n Yakkala area has been closed down with effect from tomorrow (05) for a week period due to the current health situation the authorities have announced ,
All the students in Hostels of Kelaniya University were informed to leave the hostels as soon as possible .

Ministry Of Education Has Decided To Give Second Term School Holidays For All Schools In The Island From Tomorrow (05)

The Ministry Of Education has decided to give  the second term School holidays for  All the Government, private  and International Schools in the island from tomorrow (05) five days ahead of the the scheduled date on 09 th of October due to the situation occurred as a result of Corona positive reported in  Gampaha District .
Accordingly all schools as well  as Pirivena's and Nursery schools will be closed from tomorrow until 09 th of November for the second term school holidays . 

Police Curfew Has Been Imposed In Three Police Divisions In Gampaha District After A Local Corona Positive Reported From The District


A female Supervisor attached to a Garment Factory owns by Brandix Group had tested positive for Corona virus yesterday (03) after she had been hospitalized for respiratory problem .Accordingly the corona positive female supervisor had taken medicine for her illness from a private dispensary on 28th of September and afterwards admitted to Gampaha Base Hospital for further treatment .

Through  the "PCR" test performed on her at the hospital she had been identified as a Corona positive it had been reported .Meanwhile the 16 year old daughter of the new local Corona positive had also tested positive for Corona Virus today and both Mother and daughter had been admitted to Infectious Diseases Hospital at Angoda for treatment . 

five close relatives of the Corona positive female  supervisor had been sent to Quarantine center at Habaraduwa and many contacts of her at her work place too under quarantine it has been announced , 

Meanwhile  Police have this morning (04)imposed curfew in Divulapitiya and Minuwangoda Police Divisions at Gampaha District (Western Province ) until further notice after reporting the new Corona case and later the curfew has been extended to Veyangoda area the Police have announced ,

Accordingly during the curfew public in these three  areas are being requested to stay  at home and entering  ,leaving and walking across through these police divisions are being  banned until further notice according to the Acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Chandana EWikaramaratne .

Police have advised the Public in the country to adapt Anti Corona Health Guide lines further due to the current situation ,
