Parliament Canteen Officer Arrested Over Accepting Bribe Money Had Accepted Rs. 30,000 A Month As A Bribe From A Fruit Supplier

The Parliament Canteen Officer that
had been arrested yesterday  (03)whilst accepting a bribe of Rs.60,000 from a fruit supplier had taken bribes of Rs. 30,000 a month since sometime for accepting the fruits supplied without rejecting them on any condition  according to Bribery Commission.

The Canteen Officer had been arrested at Kaduwela area whilst accepting Rs.60,000  from the fruit supplier for  two momth period.

The suspect is due to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate Court.

Commission had arrested the goods receiving officer of the Parliament canteen whilst accepting a bribe from a fruit supplier at Kaduwela area  (Colombo )today  (03).

The Parliament canteen officer was arrested whilst accepting Rs. 60,000 as a bribe from the fruit supplier .

SiX Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (03)

A total of 06 Corona positives had been
discharged from hospitals today  (03)after full recovery according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly  the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals so far had risen to 2889 the Unit has stated .

Another 80 persons suspected as Corona positives are being treated in Government Hospitals under medical supervision.
