A Special Sri Lankan Airlines Flight Carrying 176 Sri Lankans Arrived At Mattala Airport

A special Sri Lankan Airlines flight

carrying 176 Sri Lankans stranded at Maldives due to the Corona pandamic had arrived at Mattala International Airport in Matala ,Hambanthota Today (16) .

All the Passangers are employeed in the tourism  sector at Maldives and "PCR " tests had been performed on them at the Mattala Airport.

Later they were transported to nearby hotels Untill receiving test tresults.

A special Police team attached to Mount

Lavinia Police had arrested a person with 12 Kilo Grammes of  An artificial Narcotic "Mandy " in his possession at Sea road in AmbalanGoda(Southern Province ) yesterday  (15).

The value of the  stock of artificial Narcotic taken in to custody is around Rs.200 million according to Police. The stock had been smuggled to Sri Lanka via sea route. 

Eight Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (15)

 A total of 08 Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals  yesterday  (15) after full recovery according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals had risen to 2666 the Unit has stated .
