Repatriation Of Sri Lankans LIving Abroad To Resume From Next Week

Sri Lanka is scheduled to resume the
repatriation of Sri Lankans living and employed abroad  who are stranded due to corona pandamic from next week according to Army Commander General Shavendra Silva.

The repatriation of Sri Lankans abroad had been temporarily halted from 14 th of July  due to the over crowding in quarantine Centers.

Information Provided By the Corona Positive Who Had Fled Away From IDH Hospital On His Route To Colombo Fort Proved As Fake -Police

The information provided by the
Corona positive who had been caught after  fleeing  away from Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) at Angoda  last friday  (24) regarding the route he has used to travel Colombo Fort  ,haa provEd as fake according to Police.

The Corona positive who is heavily addicted to narcotics had earlier told that he went to Pettah in Colombo from IDH hospital  ,But now found he had gone to Colombo Fort from the Hospital and then to the Colombo National Hospital where he got caught.

The positive had changed his Cloths at the hospital and on his way to fort had entered a house and stolen Cloths and a bicycle from there according to the Police Media Spokesman SSP Jaliya Senaratne.

Polive are being used the CCTV camaras to track the route used by the Corona positive when he went to Colombo Fort SSP Senaratne has stressed .

Meamwhile the Corona positive who got caught after fleeing away from IDH hospital  had been sent back to Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Center according to the General Shavendra Silva.

There's no Community transmission of the Corona virus due to the Corona positive and he will be punished under the Quarantine law over escaping from hospitals he has stated .

Six Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday (25)

A total of 06 Corona positives had been
identified  from Sri Lanka Yesterday (25),increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 2770 according to the Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly out of the first five Corona positives reported yesterday  four were returnees from Chennai,India and the other one was  a  returnee from Belarus. .

The total number of Corona positives currently being treated at Government Hospitals is 656 .
