Thirteen Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (23)

A total of 13 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals today (23) after full recovery according to the Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona Positives discharged from Hospitals after full recovery so far  has been increased to 2077 the unit has stated .

A total number of 145,373  "PCR " tests had been performed in the country since 18th of February to identify Corona positives according to the Health authorities ,A Total of 1700 "PCR " Tests had been performed yesterday (22) .

A Corona Positive Has Been Reported Today (23)

A Corona positive has been reported today (23) in the country ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 2753 according to the Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly a Sri Lankan returnee from Saudi Arabia had been  tested positive for Corona virus today whilst in  quarantine at a Quarantine center the Unit has stated .The patient had been hospitalized afterwards .

At the moment at total of 665 Corona positives and 101 suspected cases are  being treated at Government Hospitals .

All Pre-Schools To Re-Open From 01 st Of August

All pre schools in the island  closed

down due to the Corona pandamic  are scheduled  to be re opened from 01st of August Health and Child affairs Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi has stated yesterday  (22).

Cabinet has approved a proposal to re-open pre -schools on that day the Minister has stressed .

Five Corona Positive Inmates At Kandakadu Injured And Hospitalized Due To A BrawL

Five  inmates who are tested positive

for Corona virus had been injured and admitted to the Special corona treatment center at Welikanda Hospital today  (22)as a result of a brawl incident occurred among two factions of Corona positive inmates at Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Center .
The condition of the injured is not critical according to sources.

The brawl incident occurred amongst inmates attached to Kandakadu Center and senapura Drug Rehabilitation  Centers it has been reported.

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals after recovery so far had been increased to 2064 .

22 Corona PositIves Had Been Reported Today (22)

A total of 22 Corona positives had been

reported in the country today (22),Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported from the country to 2752 according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly out of the first 15 Corona positives reported today ,14 were arrivals from Saudi Arabia who are under quarantine at  quarantine Centers and one positive is a close contact of a member of Kandakadu Corona cluster ,Who is under quarantine at a Quarantine Center in Norochchalai  it has been reported .

At the moment 677 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals.
