Those Who Publish Fake Social Media Posts And Spreading Rumours On Corona Situation To Be Punished-Police
Those who are posting fake posts in
Social media platforms and spreading rumours ,saying coroma positives have been identified in various places in Sri Lanka will be severely punished according to the law the Police Media Spokesman Senior Supirintendent Of Police Jaliya Senaratne has stated.
There's no truth in social media posts and rumours claiming several coroma positives have been reported from many areas in the country during last few days he has stressed.
Police Media Spokesman has requested the public not to be mislead due to these posts and rumours and only believe the releases issued by Government Information Department and Corona prevention task .force on the Corona situation.

England due to the Corona pandemic had touched down Katunayake International Airport this morning (11)it has been reported.

Government To Provide Concessions To The Electricity Bills Issued During Last March ,April And May
Government has decided to grant
concessions for the Electricity bills of the consumers for the months of March,April and May where an island wide curfew has been imposed to prevent spreading of corona virus ,as the Electricity Board had forced consumers to pay double of the regular bill amounts.
According to the Cabinet Spokesman ,Minister Bandula Gunawardana the five member committe set up to look in to the ways that granting concessions for the bills of Electricity consumers had suggested that government should bear the 25 percent of those Electricity consumers for the first 90 units ,providing a Three month grace period for consumers to settle the Electricity bills and not to disconnect the Electricity over late payments of those moths.
The report of the committee had been ihanded over to the Cabinet .
However as President wants more additional concessions to be given to the consumers regarding their electricity bills for the mentioned months Cabinet will be made a final decision on this during next week's Cabinet meeting the Minister has stressed .
