Two Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (05)

Two Corona positives had been
reported today (05) so far ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported in the country  to 2076 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the two Corona positives reported today were Sri Lankan arrivals from Bahrain.



Another 18 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (05)

A total of 18 Corona positives had been
discharged from the Hospitals today  (05)after full recovery according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals in the country so far had bern increased to 1903.

At the moment 163 cirons  positives and 38 patients suspected as Corona positives are being treated in  Government Hospitals.

290 Stranded Sri Lankans In Bahrain Had Been Brought Back To The Country This Morning (05)

A special Sri Lankan Airlines flight
carrying 290 Sri Lankans stranded in Bahrain due to the Corona pandemic had arrived at Katunayake International Airport this morning  (05).

Most of the Passangers in the flight are employed in Bahrain and they along with the cabin crew of the flight had undergone "PCR "tests at the Airport to check their corona status.

Later they were transported to nearby hotels until the receiving of the test results.  

National Cricketer Kusal Mendis Was Arrested This Morning (05)Over Knocking Down And Killing A Cyclist

Mendis has been arrested by the Panadura Police this morning  (05)  affer the Motor Car driven by him had knocking down a 64 year old Cyclist at horethuduwa in Panadura area.

The critically injured Cyclist had succumbed to his injuries after the accident .

The incident had  occurred around 5 am this morning at 13th post in Old Galle Road, Horethuduwa area according to the police .

Police are investigating whether the 25 year old Cricketer was under the influence of liquor at the time of the incident it has been reported .
