An 18 Hour Water Cut To Be Implemented In Three Colombo Divisions From Tonight (27)

An  18 hour long water cut is scheduled

to be implemented in Colombo -13,14 and 15 divisions from 10 p.m today (27) until 4 p.m tomorrow (28) by the National Water Supplies And Drainage Board in an enviornment that public is being advised to washing their hands so often to avoid spreading corona virus

During this water cut the water supply to Colombo -01,11 and 12 divisions will be received under low preassure it has been announced.

This water cut is being implemented due to an urgent modification work of the Greater Colombo Water management Project according to the Water Board .

Update-Four Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (26 So Far

A total of 04 Corona positives had been

reported today (26) so far in the country,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported to 2014 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly All four corona positives reported today (26)were arrivals of Pakistan.

At the moment 384 Corona positives are being treated in Government Hospitals.

A total of 230 Sri Lankans stranded in

Bangladesh due to Corona pandemic had been brought back to Sri Lanka this evening (26)through a special Sri  Lankan  Airlines flight .

The flight carrying these Sri Lankan Passangers had arrived at Katunayake International Airport this evening from Dhaka International Airport .

All the Passangers along with cabin crew of the flight had undergone "PCR "Tests to check their corona status .

Another 17 Corona positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (26) After Full Recovery-Number Of "PCR "Tests Performed

A total of 17 Corona positives had been

today (26)discharged from Hospitals after full recovery , increasing the total number of Corona positives discharged from Hospitals to 1619 according to Epidemeology Unit .

The recovery rate of Corona positives in Sri Lanka is 79.7 percent  it has been revealed. Up to now 101,226 "PCR " Tests had been performed in the country to identify Corona positives since 18 th of February

At the moment 380 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals .
