22 Corona Positives Had Been Dischatged Today (23)

A total of 22 Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals today (23)after full recovery according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged so far from hospitals after full recovery has been increased to 1548.

A total number of 97,402 "PCR "tests had been performed so far in the country to identify Corona positives it has been revealed .Yesterday (22) alone 1134 "PCR "tests had been performed but only one Corona positive had been identified though tbese tests .

A Total Of 29 Corona Positives Had Been Reported (23) Today -All Were Imported Cases From India

A total number of 29 Corona positives had been reported today (23) at 8 p.m ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives in the country to 1980 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly all the 29 Corona positives reported today were imported Corona cases arrived from India the unit has stated .

At the moment 421 Corona positives and 54 suspected as Corona positives are being treated in government hospitals it has been reported .

Two Persons Including A FHad Been Arrested With 1.527 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin

Crimes Division had today (22)arrested two persons including a 27 year old female with 1.527 Kilo grammes of Heroin in their possession near a Bus stop on Rambukkana -Kegalle main road it has been reported .


The female was arrested over encouraging the Heroin smuggling it has been revealed .

Welisara Naval Base Closed Due To Spreading Of Corona To Be Resumed Operations From Tomorrow (23)

Welisara Naval base where a group of

Navy personal had been identified as Corona positives in last April and temporarily closed down as a result ,is scheduled to be resumed it's operations with effect from tomorrow (23)  under few stages according to the Sri Lanka Navy .

Director General Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe has been declared  tbe Naval base as a Zone free from Corona virus and handed over a certificafte in this regard to the Navy commander last friday (19).

The Welisara Naval Base which was closed down since 27 th of April as all the Navy personal suspected as infected with corona virus had been quarantined tbere .

28 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged Today(22) Afrer Full Recovery

A total of 28 Corona positives had been

discharged from hospitals today (22)after full recovery ,increasing the total number of Corona  positives discharged from hospitals to 1526 according to Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly  414 Corona positives and 31suspected as infected with corona virus are being currently treated in Government Hospitals .

Sri lanka's recovery rate of Corona positives is 78.22 percent according to Health Promotions Bureau.
