President Has Decided To Stop Inmporting Batik And Handloom Products

President Gotabaya Rajapakshe has decided to stop importing Batik and Handloom products in view of protecting ,promoting and encouraging the ĺocal Batik Cloth and Handloom manufacturers .

This decision has been taken during the meeting held between President Rajapakshe and Batik and handloom manufacturers at the President's house in Colombo this evening (15).

President had shown that Sri lamka should have encouraged local handloom  manfacturers to make garment products from locally made handlooms .
cloths instead of imported cloth   

16 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (15)

A total of 16 Corona positives had been

reported today (15) upto 10.30 p.m ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported from the Country to 1905  according to the Epidemeology Unit.

Accordingly out of the first 12 Corona positives reported today ,06 were Kuwaiti arrivals ,05 were arrivals of Kuwait and 01 arrival of Bangladesh .

Another 55 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Today (15) After Full Recovery

A total of 55 Corona positives had been

discharged today (15)from hospitals after full recovery ,increasing the total number of recovered Corona positives in the country to 1342 according to the Epidemeology Unit .

At the moment 550 Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals along with 45 patients suspectted as Corona positives

A special Sri Lankan Airlines flight

carrying 130 Sri Lankan passangers stranded in Karachchi and Lahore in Pakistan due to the Corona pandamic had touched down at the Katunayale International Airport in wee hours of this Morning (15).

"PCR "tests had been performed on  All the passangers and the Cabin crew of the flight to identify their corona status at the Airport it has been reported .

Aftetwards the passangers and the Cabin crew were transported to four hotels near the Katunayake Airport until the receipt of test reults .
