Thirty Police Officers Had Been Sent For Quarantine Over Their Involvement In Controlling A Protest Held Infront Of US Embassy
Thirty police officers attached to
Colpetty (Colombo District ) Police including the OIC Of the police station had been sent for a 14 day quarantine process today (11) due to their involvement in controlling the protest held infront of the US embassy in Colpetty last Tuesday (09).According to
the Police Department .
The group of Police Officers had been involved in controlling the protest organized by Frontkine Socialis Party against the killing of George Floyed and 53 protesters had been arrested by the police over violating Quarantine laws .
The 30 Police officers had been sent for the quarantine Center in Aththidiya managed by Police for Quarantine it has been abnounced .

28 Corona Positives Discharged From Hospitals Today (11)
A total of 28 Corona positives had been
discharged today (11)from government hospitals after full recovered according to Epidemeology Unit .
Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from Hospitals up to now had been increased to 1150.At the moment 708 Corona positives and 62 Suspected as Corona positives are being treated at Government Hospitals .

National Election Commission Has Set 05 th Of August As The General.Election Day
All members of the National Election
Commission had today (10) unanimously decided to hold the General Election earlier scheduled to be held on 20 th of June ,on 05 th of August the chairman of the Election Commission Mahinda Deshapriya has announced today .
Asdressing a Media briefing held at the Election Secretariet in Rajagiriya this evening Election Commission Chairman has stated that the three member Commission which met today have decided the election date and sent the Gazette Notification regarding it to the Government printer to print .
The special Gazette Notification regarding the forthcoming General Election has been issued this evening by the Government printer.
