A Gazette Notification Which Provides Guidelines To Follow When Country Opens Up.On Monday .

Ministry of Health is scheduled to issue

the Gazette notification containing the health guidelines which people should follow when the country opens this Monday (11) to resume office work it has been announced .

Accordingly the Gazette notification regarding the  Guidelines prepare for Service providers and transport sector will be sent to the Government printer o print and afterwards  it will be issued officially  .

Sri lankan government has decided to open up economic activities of the country which had stopped since 20 th of March gradually .As a first step all state and private sector offices will be opened from this Monday with the participation of one third of the employees in each office by securing social distancing rule and wearing a face mask according to the government .
Those who are using public transport including Buses and Trains should get inside without touching side bars and while seated no one should   touch the seat bars according to officials.

All 11 Corona Positives that had been

identified yesterday (08)were Navy personal attached to Nsval base in Welisara it has been reported .

Meanwhile another 20 Corona virus posituves had been discgarged from hospitals today (09)afrer fully recovered .Accordingly the total number of Corona positives who had been dischrged from hospitals had been increased to 260 the Epidemeology Unit has stated .

A Special Sri Lankan Alrlines Flight had

left for Melbourne ,Australia this morning (09) to bring back a group of Sri Lankans stranded in Australia due to the Corona Virus outbreak it has been reported .

The special flight had left for Melbourne around 7.30 a.m this morning from Katunayake ,International Airport and due to return tomorrow (10)morning with the group of Sri lankans .

However the Airlines had not yet revealed the number of passangers due to bring back from Melbourne and their whereabouts .All the Sri lankans due to arrive tomorrow morning are scheduled to be sent for Qurantine cenrers for quarantine .

11 New Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday(08) -Total.Increased To 835

 11 new Corona virus positives had

been reported in the country last night (08)at 11.45 p.m ,increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 835.

Accordingly 586 Corona Positives are being treated in Government hospitals at present .

Meanwhile 1821 PCR tests had been prrformed during yesterday to ifentify Corona positives it has been reported .

The total number of "PCR" tests carried out so far since 18 th of february is 33,899 according to the reports  

During Last Friday (07)1553 PCR Tests Performed

During last friday  (07)a total number of

1553 "PCR "tests had been carried out to identify Corona vitus positives according to the Health promotions Bureau .

Out of these tests 400 PCR Tests had been carried out in a selected  sample from Estate  community lives in Maradana,Colombo  ,However no one had  been tested positive for Corona virus .

This means there"s no transmission of virus in the  local community upto now Health Ministry has stated .

Meanwhile up to now a total number of 32,078 PCR tests had been carried out for the period 18 th of February until 07 th of May the Bureau has stated .
