More Than 37,000 Had Been Arrested Over Violating Curfew

By this evening (25)37,355 persons had
been arrested over violating curfew rules according to police Depaetment .

Around 9,561 vehicles also had been taken into custody over running in roads amidst curfew .

Meanwhile police have arrested a minor staff member attached to a private hospital in Ragama who had ileagally travelled from Ragama to Mat ara by introducing him as a doctor  Malimbada ,Matara area .

Four Navy Soldiers And Their Families Are Under Self Quarantine

Health authorities had put four Navy
soldiers attached to Welisara Naval base and returned home at Galaha MOH area in Kandy  on leave ,and their family members under self quarantime as the four soldiers are being suspected as infected with corona virus .

Even the Sub post office at Nawanaliya where the wife of one of the soldiers working in had been temporarily closed down it has been reported .


The four suspected Navy soldiers are due to be faced the PCR test tomorrow (26)to check whethet they are infected with the virus .

Residents Of Five Houses In Godakawela to.be Qurantined

Residents in Five houses at Rideevita
area in Godakawela put under quarantine today (25)after a Navy soldier attached to Welisara Naval base had been tested positive for corona virus today during a PCR Test carried out on him  at Ratnapura Teaching Hospital .

Residents of five houses are being quarentined as it has been revealed that the Navy soldier who was tested positive for corona virus had contacted with those residents as he is on leave  .

Meanwhile another Navy soldier residing in Thalduwa ,Awissaawella had been also tested positive for corona virus during a PCR Test perform on him at Ratnapura Teaching Hospital today .He is also attached to Welisara Naval base and is currently on leave it has been revealed .

Government Has Decided to Lift The Island Wide Curfew Currently Imposed In 22 Districts Except 04 Districts On Next Monday (27)- State And Peivate Sectors To Re Commence Work From 04 Th Of May With Limited Number Of Employees

Government has today (25)announced
that the island wide curfew imposed at present will be lifted on next Monday (27) at 5 a.m execept Colombo ,Gampaha ,Kalutara and Puttalam districts which continues until 5 a.m on Monday 04 th of May .

The Curfew that will be lifted on coming Monday in 22 districts will be re imposed daily at 8 p.m until 5 a.m next morning .

Government has also decided to re open the activities of State and Private intitutions even amidst curfew on Monday the 04 th of May as a step of boosting the local economy and recomennds 10 a.m as the time for commencing of work in private sector institutions .However Government strongly recommends the state sector to call only one third of their employees to daily  work even the institution provides an essential services and request other employees to work from home .

Government has recommemded the heads of privare sector instiutes  to plan how they will re commence work in.their institutions from
04 th of May ,during next week .

Government also  requests the public to only visit the nearest shop by walking to buy essential goods and stay at home as much as possible to prevent the spread of Corona virus .

All shops including retail amd wholsale will be allowed to re open their activities from 04 th may whilst adapting the good health practices introduced to prevent the spreading of corona virus .
