Director General Of Health Services has

empowered the Acting Inspector General of Police to arrest those who are violating quarantine laws during curfew lifted hours according to Deputy Inspector General Of Police Ajith Rohana .

During curfew lifted hours people cannot behave as they want and social distancing should be adapted as well as wearing masks whenever they are going out he has stated .

Meanwhile police had arrested little more than 36,000 persons over violating curfew since the curfew has been imposed and also taken into custody around 10,000 vechicles upto last evening (23)it has been reported .

Security Forces Found 07 Persons Fled Away Ftom Colombo To Jaffna Amidst Curfew

Security forces have today (23)found 07 persons who had fled away secretly by lorries from Colombo to Jaffna and were in hiding and put them under self quarantine .

The suspects are hired workers and they had been violated the lockdown rules by noving to Jaffna from Colombo amidst curfew according to authorities .

The 07 workers are under self quara ntine monitored by Health officials .

101 Sri Lankan Students Brought Back To Sri Lanka -Later Sent Them For Quarantine

A special Sri Lankan Airlines flight had been brought back 101 Sri Lankan Students strandad at Amritsar in Panjab ,India today (23)to Sri lanka .

At the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport they were disinfected and transported to quarantine centers for quarantine through special Army buses .

During Today (23) 38 Corona Positives Identified -29 Of Them Are Navy Personal

During today (23)38 new corona virus

positives had been identified from Sri lanka including 29 navy personal attached to Welisara Naval base according to Epidemelogy unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona virus positives identified in the country had been risen to 368 the Unit has stated .

Earlier today 08 corona positives had been identified through tests and by late night 30 corona positives had been reported at once .This is the highest number of Corona positives reported from the country so far it has been revealed .

With the Navy personal who had been tested positive for corona virus yesterday (22) 30 Navy personal attached to Welisara Naval base now confirmed as corona positives according to the Epidemeology Unit .

Navy commander had today declared the Welisara Naval base as an isolated area by putting all Navy personal there under quarantine.

The Navy personal who had been tested positive for corona virus yesterday had contacted the vitus whilst on a mission to search the people contacted with a corona virus positive identified from Suduwella ,Ja-Ela area it has been reported.

Meanwhile at present 254 Corona virus positives are being treated at 04 government hospitals the Health Ministry has announced .

Another 02 Corona positives had been discharged from hospitals today increasing the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals to 107.
